The season is about to begin for Osasuna. Only two days to go and the red players are warming up engines for the first match against Villarreal (Sunday, 7 p.m, Reyno de Navarra stadium). But there are some of them that cannot assure if on monday, once the transfer deadline arrives, they will still be wearing Osasuna’s shirt.

Walter The Rifle Pandiani arrived to Pamplona last season as one of the star signings for the attack but his performance was not good enough to justify his high salary, so Cuco Ziganda warned him that the club would look for a transfer. The veteran Uruguayan striker decided to stay in the club, even he was told he was the last of the forward players. Now, Osasuna is in a hurry for selling him and his future may be in England.

Premier League clubs West Ham and Fulham have shown interest in signing Walter, but there´s been no specific offers for him. Osasuna wants to let him go -even they get no fee for him- to save theirselves from his more than one million euros salary. La Liga´s trading deadline will arrive this weekend and surely we´ll have more news about Pandiani.

Jaroslav Plasil is in a very different situation. The Czech midfielder made a quite good performance last season and he´s supposed to be one of the most important players this year, so many clubs from Premier League have focused on him. Aston Villa, Fulham -again- and Bolton may be interested in Jaro and it is said in brittish newspapers that one of them offered for him more than five million pounds that Osasuna rejected. The player has a price of 15 million euros and the club doesn´t want to negociate for him, chiefman Patxi Izco confirmed. Even so, we won´t be calm until the deadline arrives.

By now, Osasuna will begin La Liga with this two players, but nothing is absolutely sure in the world of football and maybe we´ll have more news soon.
