¿Qué pasa con los iraníes?/What about the iranians?

La Liga´s last fixtures are bringing awful results for Osasuna. This terrible spell of bad games matches up with the arrival of new coach, José Antonio Camacho -it was bad, but not as bad with Ziganda- but we must not forget about the low form state of the two iranians.

Javad Nekounam started this season with renewed illusions after his one year injury. He made really brilliant performances in the first fixtures and became what he expected: “The leader of the team inside the field“. Sadly, this first strength has turned quickly into really bad performances and this has affected the whole team.

The case of Masoud Shoaei is quite similar. He arrived to Osasuna dazzling the fans with his amazing dribles, never seen before in Pamplona. Supporters enjoy seeing him play, but his spectacular way of playing is turning out to be uneffective, and what´s worse, risky for the team. Camacho wants to make him learn the european way of playing football to make the most out of him, but his last performance against Espanyol will not help, with an awful ball lost in the middle after an unnecesary dribling.

Seriously. Why are there no good articles about how the other players, especially, the forwards suck? I mean. Do you really think that if you take away a DM and a RMF you will get a winning team?

Face it. Osasuna’s problems lies with the forwards!!!!! The thing is, if Osasuna would have WON all their games by now, Masoud and Nekou would have played exactly the same as they have done. You would have celebrated them.. but just because your FORWARDS can’t score you slaughter them?

Masoud is a RMF, not a forward, his job is not to score goals, it is to create chances, create havoc in the other team and he is the best one to have done so thus far for the team. The team attacking morale advances with Masoud on the field, they CAN’t SCORE but they ATTACK MUCH SHARPER.

PROBLEM, THE PROBLEMOS, LIES WITH YOUR FORWARDS, THE FORWARDOS!!!!!!!

We try to focus this section on iranian players so iranian readers can read about them. But you´re right, maybe we´re focusing our section too much on them. We´ll try to talk about all the team on next editions.

Obviously, the two iranians are not the main problem now in Osasuna; the main problem is with Sola, Portillo, Pandiani, Dady and with all the other offensive players. But is also true that Neko is not at his best shape and Masoud plays in a very risky way, wich doesn´t mean they´re not great players.

  6. Maikeru says:

Aha, well from reading your posts about the Iranians it feels like you are blaming all your losses on them. It is good to see that you also see the problem with the other players in the squad.

Nekou is really bad ATM, he doesn’t make so many mistakes when he has the ball. But his off-the-ball movement really sucks. I don’t know why, he doesn’t move into open spaces for his teammates. Coach needs to talk to him.

I apologise for overreacting. Keep the news coming :P

No problem, Maikeru. It´s always good to have some constructive feedback.
